CNC Setup Programmer

Join a leading machine shop in Brampton as a CNC Setup Programmer. With a focus on optimizing CNC lathes, you will ensure high-quality production outcomes.

In this role, you will have 5 to 10 years of experience working with Twin Spindle Twin Turret CNC Lathes. You’ll need strong programming skills, proficiency with bar feeders and chucking setups, and familiarity with GD&T. Your responsibilities will also involve troubleshooting, conducting inspections, and collaborating with engineering teams to enhance operational processes using Lean manufacturing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize CNC programs for lathes

• Set up machines for operators, including initial testing

• Troubleshoot programming issues for efficiency

• Participate in tool selection for new parts

• Maintain in-process quality checks of machined parts

Requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of CNC programming experience

• Proficiency with bar feeders and live tools

• Strong ability to read technical drawings

• Experience with measuring tools and CMM preferred

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
