Skilled Toolmaker for Automotive Systems

Become an integral part of Magna as a Toolmaker specializing in automotive assembly systems. This role focuses on finishing tools and ensuring precision in robotic assemblies.

As a Toolmaker/Dimensional/Finisher, you will be a key player responsible for finishing tools and fixtures used mainly in robotic assembly lines. Your core responsibilities include inspecting equipment, interpreting CMM reports, and ensuring correct part fit-up. A collaborative spirit is essential as you will also guide apprentices in the trade while maintaining top-notch quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing and modifying tools and fixtures

• Inspect, layout, and debug equipment for proper operation

• Troubleshoot and test tools as needed

• Analyze BIW measurement reports for accuracy

• Train Tool & Die Apprentices on best practices

Requirements:

• Recognized Tool and Die Maker qualification

• Minimum of 5 years in automotive assembly

• Strong blueprint interpretation skills

• Effective communication and organizational skills

• Knowledge of welding and gluing processes
