Job Summary

Responsible for meticulously assembling and rigorously testing high-quality pipe preparation tools in adherence to precise engineering specifications and company protocols, with a strong emphasis on electro, hydraulic, and mechanical expertise.

Job Duties
  • Assemble specialized Victaulic pipe preparation tools and equipment, including cutting machines, grooving tools, beveling equipment, and roll grooving tools, meticulously following engineering drawings, detailed work instructions, and Quality Maintenance Actions Sheets (QMAS).
  • Complete mandatory specialized training programs for the assembly of specific Victaulic tool models and product lines, maintaining current certification on all assigned equipment types.
  • Demonstrate expertise in assembling complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electric-powered Victaulic tools, ensuring proper integration of motors, pumps, hydraulic cylinders, control systems, and safety mechanisms.
  • Perform calibration and adjustment procedures on specialized tools to meet precise manufacturing specifications and torque requirements.
  • Conduct comprehensive functional testing of each assembled tool, including hydraulic pressure tests, electrical system verification, mechanical operation validation, and safety feature confirmation to ensure uncompromising quality and functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues on specialized tools, identifying component defects or assembly errors and implementing corrective actions.
  • Expertly pack finished and tested assemblies, applying appropriate labeling, packaging materials, and protective measures with precision to prevent damage during shipping.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in selecting and utilizing proper components for specialized tool assemblies, prioritizing electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical considerations specific to each tool model.
  • Maintain detailed assembly records and documentation for each specialized tool, including serial numbers, test results, and configuration specifications.
  • Contribute to inventory and cycle counts with keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy of specialized component stock levels.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs to remain current on new Victaulic tool models, assembly techniques, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to provide feedback on assembly processes and identify opportunities for improvement in specialized tool manufacturing.
  • Support and actively engage in lean manufacturing principles and company FEM initiatives, contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Adhere strictly to company safety policies and procedures, prioritizing the use of appropriate safety equipment and following lockout/tagout procedures when working with hydraulic and electrical systems.
