Registered Nurse

Position: Extendicare Registered Nurse Opening
Location: Georgetown

Take on the role of Registered Nurse at Extendicare, providing essential nursing care with a commitment to quality and compliance. This Part Time position focuses on resident care, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.

As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee the quality of nursing practices, assist in assessments, and manage nursing staff effectively. This role demands strong leadership and communication skills, prioritization of care tasks, and a focus on collaborative problem-solving. You'll also be responsible for guiding care in the absence of the Director of Care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide care in line with established standards and physician orders

• Assist in the development and evaluation of care plans

• Supervise and evaluate nursing staff’s performance

• Direct the nursing team in the absence of leadership

• Monitor and assess resident conditions continually

Requirements:

• Valid nursing certificate from accredited institutions

• Registration or eligibility with provincial nursing bodies

• Experience in community or long-term care preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to manage tasks and work collaboratively
