Join William Osler Health System as an experienced Registered Practical Nurse in hemodialysis, where you will deliver exceptional patient care. This position requires a commitment to safety and hands-on nursing practice.
As part of the inter-professional health care team, your role is to provide safety-driven nursing care to patients at lower risk in hemodialysis. You will engage in comprehensive patient assessments, planning care strategies, and implementing effective teaching moments for patients and their families. Emphasis is placed on cultivating a diverse and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care tailored to hemodialysis patients
• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations
• Provide health education to promote community care
• Practice infection control measures diligently
• Respond quickly to emergency situations
Requirements:
• Two years of recent hemodialysis experience
• Nephrology certificate or enrolled in qualification program
• Proficient with vascular access modules
• Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
