As part of the Clinical Resource Team, you'll be delivering patient-centered care in Labour and Delivery and Postpartum Units. Your expertise in obstetrics and a commitment to safe nursing practices will ensure patient safety and well-being while you navigate diverse cultural environments within the hospital. This role includes a blend of days and nights with a 12-hour shift schedule, fostering an engaging atmosphere for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure safe nursing practices through comprehensive patient assessments
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families
• Respond to emergency situations effectively
• Educate patients and families on care continuity
• Comply with infection control and nursing policies
Requirements:
• Minimum two years obstetrics clinical experience
• Completion of Ontario's breastfeeding e-learning course
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills
• Ability to work in stressful environments
