    Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular Full-Time Quality Assurance Manager – Testing Servicesto join our dynamic Quality Assurance – Medical Servicesand Innovation team workingout of CBS’s Calgary or Brampton site. The work of the Quality Assurance Manager is integral to Canadian Blood Services role as Canada's Lifeline.

    You will haveathorough understandingof patient and donor testing processes and systems and associated regulations, standards, and best practices including the theory and application of quality management system elements tothe products and services provided by the Canadian Blood Servicesdonortesting and diagnostic services teams.

    Undertheleadershipofthe Associate Director,QA Medical Services and Innovation, youwillberesponsible forthe management, execution andevaluationof established quality assurance activities, ensuringeffective andefficient people andprocess management, inan environment which fully recognizes the benefits of operatinginaccordance with quality principles.

    You willlead the development of your team by understanding the collaborative effort required within a team environment and optimizing the team to be successful inmeetingor exceedingall quality assuranceobjectives. Youwilluseperformance-basedmeasurements toaligntheobjectivesoftheteamtomeet thestrategic objectives of the Quality &Regulatory Affairs division and Canadian Blood Services.

    You willalso be responsible forpartnering and collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensurethequalitymanagement system program,procedures,andtoolsmeetuserbusiness needsandregulatoryrequirements.

  • Channeling your superior interpersonal and communication skills, you will manage the Quality Assurance – Testing Services team and budget to ensure effective and efficient use of resources in a positive working environment in which the team will feel empowered, challenged, and engaged.
