You will encounter in the course of your duties, situations which cannot be covered by Standing Orders or site specific security operations procedures, which outline duties and contain property and facility information.
It is imperative that you have a proven ability to use your own initiative and judgement and can represent the City of Brampton in a firm but courteous manner.
Position: Full-Time Dispatch
Site: City of Brampton - Bramalea Civic Centre - 150 Central Park Drive, Brampton, ON
Hours: Continental Nights (1930 - 0730)
Payrate: $23.82/hr
Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours

Key Responsibilities- In this key role, you will oversee several sites within the City of Brampton. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTV
- You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking
- Utilize two-way radio communication and perspective software
- Oversee the tracking and deployment of security personnel across all City of Brampton sites
- Monitor several systems including fire and life safety, access control and parking
- Assign reports to security personnel when required using reporting software
- Investigate routine incidents
- Minimum 3 (three) years of dispatch security experience required
- Minimum 3 (three) years of security experience or related experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Criminal Code
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
- Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
- UoF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a prerequisite;
Paladin will cover certification costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability - Legally authorized to work in Canada
