Position: Brampton Civic Hospital - Security Dispatch.
Job Description:In this key role, you will oversee Brampton Civic Hospital. Your role will be to monitor numerous systems including fire and life safety, access control and CCTV. You will assist in tracking and deployment of security staff and handle a variety of dispatch duties including incident call taking.
Utilizing Two-way Radio Communication and Perspective SoftwareOverseeing the tracking and deployment of security personnel across all of Brampton Civic HospitalOperate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authoritiesMonitor numerous systems including fire and life safetyAccess control and parkingAssign reports to security personnel when required using reporting softwareInvestigate routine incidentsMonitor and control entry points to the hospital, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areaRequirements
:
Previous dispatch security experience is an asset, mimimum 3 years of security or related experienceMinimum 2 (two) years of security or related experiencePost Secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program from a recognized collegeWorking knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health ActDemonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacyAll successful applicants must undergo a vulnerable sector checkValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Covid Vaccine two dosesImmunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin testEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware:
