Key Responsibilities
Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
Serve as the department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert, keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies and performance.
Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, and initiatives, incident response planning, facilitating and management.
Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable.
Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 49 pounds, standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift, and working in environments with variable temperatures and noise.
Cover 24/7 operations and work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Day in the Life
As an SLP Expert, you will join a team of S&LP professionals, provide security as a service to business customers across multiple business units, conduct physical security audits, investigate policy violations and loss events, and drive preventive measures.
You will collect information through monitoring systems, data analysis, and interviews; audit system health; work with external security service providers; manage initiatives; and lead education and awareness programs.

Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) supports field loss prevention across Amazon’s global organization, training leadership, implementing technology, and ensuring compliance.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience
2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) or 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in conducting investigative work, including claimant, witness, and target employee interviews, investigative data analysis, and production of investigative documentation
Experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs such as access control/intrusion detection and CCTV surveillance systems
Experience working in identifying security issues and risks, and developing mitigation plans
2+ years of implementing metric-based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts
3+ years of operations, customer service, retail, distribution, shipping, logistics, healthcare, hospitality, or manufacturing experience
Investigative interview experience and relevant certifications (e.g., Wicklander and Zulawski, Loss Prevention Qualified, Certified Protection Professional, etc.)

The base salary range for this position is 72,300. CAD annually.
