Job Summary

As a Senior TIG Aluminum Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-precision TIG welding on various aluminum components and assemblies. The ideal candidate is an expert in aluminum welding techniques, familiar with shop fabrication practices, and committed to producing superior-quality work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced TIG welding on aluminum components according to blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications
  • Inspect materials and finished welds to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances
  • Set up welding equipment, select proper filler rods, and adjust settings for material thickness and weld type
  • Interpret complex fabrication drawings and welding symbols
  • Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, saws, shears, and brakes
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and team members to meet production deadlines
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company safety protocols

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of TIG welding experience, specifically working with aluminum
  • Extensive knowledge of welding procedures, techniques, and best practices
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent; welding certifications are a strong asset
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  • AWS welding certification in aluminum (or equivalent)
  • Experience in custom or precision aluminum fabrication
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement
