Elevate your career as a Peer Support Worker with a leading organization in Brampton. This full-time role focuses on empowering clients through recovery plans and community resources.

You will report to a Program Manager and engage with clients through one-on-one and group sessions. Utilize your personal experience with mental health to support others, develop empowerment skills, and manage a caseload. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective client care plans and facilitate group sessions as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and assist clients in goal development

• Utilize Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) tools for care plans

• Support skill development and self-advocacy for clients

• Manage client caseload, including risk assessments

• Facilitate group sessions within the multidisciplinary team

Requirements:

• Personal recovery experience in mental health/addiction

• Two years in mental health and addictions services

• Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma

• Valid Canadian driver’s license

• Vulnerable Sector Screening report required
