This part-time role focuses on coordinating peer support and engagement for parents navigating the children's mental health system in Ontario. Candidates with backgrounds in social services, peer support skills, and community engagement experience are encouraged to apply. You'll conduct surveys, build networks, and support family advisory activities as part of Vanier's multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and group peer support to families
• Coordinate parent engagement initiatives and enhancement groups
• Liaise with community groups for effective information sharing
• Conduct research on mental health advocacy resources
• Write reports and prepare presentations for stakeholders
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in social services preferred
• Two years’ experience in community engagement or related roles
• Fluency in French is an asset
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team member
