Experienced AS400 Developer

Join a dynamic team as an AS400 Developer in Brampton, ON, working in a hybrid model with 2-3 days onsite. This contract position offers a vital role in enterprise application support and modernization.

We are seeking a skilled AS400 Developer for a 6-12 month contract within the BFSI domain. Your expertise in IBM i (iSeries/AS400), RPG, and DB2/400 will be key in enhancing enterprise applications. You will also engage in system administration concepts, job scheduling, and production support activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and enhance applications on IBM i/AS400

• Implement RPG/RPGLE programming and debugging techniques

• Support application modernization initiatives and performance tuning

• Administer IBM i systems and manage job scheduling

• Optimize DB2/400 database queries and design

Requirements:

• Strong experience with RPG, RPGLE, and DB2/400

• Expert knowledge in IBM i (iSeries/AS400) environment

• Proven track record in performance tuning and application support

• Familiarity with SQL and embedded SQL techniques

• Previous experience with batch processing support
