Explore a rewarding AS400 Developer position in Brampton, ON, with a hybrid work setup of 2-3 days onsite. This contract opportunity focuses on IBM i solutions in the BFSI industry.
As a contracted AS400 Developer, you will work for 6-12 months, leveraging your skills in RPG and DB2/400 to design and support enterprise applications.
Your role will include debugging and enhancing applications as part of modernization initiatives while handling system administration duties.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and enhance applications using IBM i/AS400
• Manage application debugging and performance tuning
• Oversee job scheduling and IBM i system processes
• Implement optimized DB2/400 database design
• Support production activities and batch job processing
Requirements:
• Proven experience with RPG/RPGLE programming
• Expertise in IBM i (iSeries/AS400) platform
• Strong understanding of DB2/400 and SQL
• Background in performance tuning and system administration
• Familiarity with enterprise application development
