Quanex is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Supervisor to lead logistics operations in Brampton, ON. You'll focus on safety compliance, staff motivation, and achieving shipping deadlines.
This pivotal role involves managing the shipping and receiving dock with a focus on effective teamwork and communication. As a Supervisor, you'll be expected to work closely with supervisors and managers to coordinate shipping schedules and ensure staff adherence to Standard Operating Procedures. Your experience and knowledge of logistics will play a vital role in maintaining an efficient shipping operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee dock staff and supervise shipping operations
• Ensure daily inspections of safety equipment
• Communicate shipping statuses to Customer Service
• Administer returns and freight problems efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts
Requirements:
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or related fields
• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience
• Knowledge of carriers and logistics operations
• Ability to communicate effectively in busy environments
• Familiarity with SAP and inventory management
