Warehouseperson

Overview

Reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the successful candidate will maintain production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and equipment.

• Safely operate a sit‑down counter‑balance forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification.
• Work comfortably outside in the elements.
• Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load and the safety requirements for loading/unloading materials.
• Identify where product is located in the yard and warehouse by utilizing the FIFO system.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Pick and sort stock using a forklift, ensuring minimal errors.
• Assist with inventory counts as required.
• Guide truck drivers to the appropriate loading/unloading locations safely.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid forklift certification, Class1 license.
• Ability to read a pick list.
• Ability to work overtime as necessary, including weekends.
• Pass a fit‑for‑duty physical.
• At least 2 years forklift experience.
• Previous experience with materials handling and distribution warehouses preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong organizational, time‑management, and prioritizing skills.
