Join Ryder as a Tractor Trailer Driver, focusing on safe and efficient transportation in Brampton, Ontario. Ensure compliance with all regulations while making timely deliveries.
In this full-time, permanent position, you will be responsible for driving a commercial vehicle from pick-up to destination. Key elements of this role include adhering to DOT regulations and maintaining safety protocols. You will also be responsible for loading and unloading freight as necessary while keeping comprehensive logs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive between terminals safely and efficiently
• Keep accurate driving logs and documentation
• Follow all federal and state regulations
• Load and unload freight according to customer needs
• Recognize and address safety hazards immediately
Requirements:
• Preferred High School Diploma or GED
• At least 9 months of commercial driving experience
• Valid Driver's License with air brake certification
• One or fewer moving violations in the past year
• Strong ability to follow instructions and regulations
