Elevate your logistics career as a Yard Dispatcher at a leading Canadian retailer based in Brampton, ON. This on-site role focuses on coordinating trailer movements and enhancing yard operations.
We are seeking a Yard Dispatcher for a 1-year contract to maintain a safe and efficient distribution environment. You will work closely with shunt drivers, warehouse teams, and logistics partners.
Your role includes utilizing technology to drive performance and ensure effective communication among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate trailer movements and dispatch shunt drivers
• Maintain accurate records in the Yard Management System
• Monitor traffic flow and container placement for safety
• Communicate updates and operational priorities effectively
• Troubleshoot congestion and prepare operational reports
Requirements:
• 1+ years of logistics coordination experience
• Proficiency in Yard Management Systems (YMS)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent, logistics certifications preferred
