Safety-focused Level 1 Driver Trainer work with First Student in Georgetown, Ontario, delivering classroom and behind-the-wheel training part-time. Mentor experienced drivers.
First Student seeks an experienced Level 1 Driver Trainer for its Burlington, Ontario location. This role develops school bus drivers through classroom, skills, and on-road instruction. You will support candidates, coach existing drivers, evaluate performance, and maintain training records. Leadership, flexibility, and safety commitment are central.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver classroom, skills, and on-road school bus training
- Provide refresher, remedial, and upgrade training
- Support candidate onboarding and training activities
- Coach drivers on safety, compliance, and confidence
- Maintain accurate training records and evaluate performance
- Valid Class B licence or higher with endorsements
- At least three years of school bus or commercial driving
- Clean driver abstract meeting stated three-year requirements
- Strong communication, mentoring, and coaching abilities
- Flexible Monday-to-Friday availability, with possible weekends
