Reach Truck and Counterbalance Forklift Operator*
* ** Job Description*
* This role involves safely and efficiently operating reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts in a clean, bright distribution centre. You will handle inventory, pick orders using RF scanners, and support daily warehouse operations while maintaining high accuracy and safety standards.

** Responsibilities*
* Operate reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts to move, store, and retrieve products within the distribution centre.
Use RF scanners to accurately pick, scan, and process orders according to work instructions.
Handle both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, including stand-up reach equipment, as required by operational needs.
Perform order picking and staging to support timely and accurate shipment of products.
Assist with inventory activities, including counting, locating, and organizing stock in designated areas.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
Inspect forklifts and related equipment before use and report any issues or defects promptly.
Maintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas within the distribution centre.
Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity and quality targets.
Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced distribution environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.

** Essential Skills*
* Minimum 2+ years of experience operating reach trucks in a distribution environment.
Minimum 2+ years of experience operating counterbalance forklifts in a distribution environment.
Minimum 2+ years of experience using RF scanners for order picking and inventory tasks.
Proven experience working in a distribution facility, preferably over a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to operate stand-up forklifts, including stand-up reach equipment.

Experience with warehouse forklift operations, including picking orders and handling inventory.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy when scanning, picking, and handling products.
Ability to follow safety procedures and operate material handling equipment safely.
Capability to work effectively on a day shift in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

** Additional

Skills & Qualifications *
* Experience in a distribution facility is strongly preferred over manufacturing experience.
External forklift license is preferred, or proof of internal forklift license.
Comfort working with Raymond reach and electric counterbalance forklifts.
Ability to adapt to different forklift types, including sit-down and stand-up equipment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain an orderly work area.
Good communication skills to work effectively within a warehouse team

* You will work in a clean and bright distribution centre equipped with Raymond reach and electric counterbalance forklifts. The role is based on a day shift schedule, providing consistent hours and routine. The facility focuses on safety, organization, and efficiency, with modern material handling equipment and RF scanning technology used throughout daily operations. Dress comfortably and appropriately for a warehouse environment, with suitable work attire and safety gear as required.

** Job Type & Location*
* This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, ON.

** Pay and Benefits*
* The pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.
