Forklift – ORDER PICKER
We have an opportunity for an experienced Shipper & Receiver/Forklift to join the operations team. The Shipper & Receiver/Forklift Operator is responsible for performing material handling, clean-up, and packaging and other elemental activities related to Warehouse & Distribution requirements. They operate Walkie, and other machinery to move items, and materials on and off trucks and loading docks. Keep inventory, loading areas, and machinery clean.
Open containers, sort, and catalog materials. Adheres and complies with all workplace and food safety regulations.

Perform daily pre-shift inspections of assigned lifting equipment and report any hazardsFollow all applicable occupational health and safety and food safety proceduresEnsure proper protective equipment (PPE) is always worn while workingOperates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe mannerPick orders (SKU’S) using Crown Order pickerMove product onto and off racking, stages finished product, completes relevant paperworkContributes to the orderly operation of stock and or material storage areaMaintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortagesLocates materials/supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production ordersCommunicate shipment discrepancies to Supply Chain and Production Department upon detectionPerforms material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking, order picking using RF scanners and ensure proper product in rotationVerifies pallets being delivered are using correct Pallet , Lot and Item Code and communicating unforeseen changes due to customer requestsEssential Duties & Responsibilities:Stacks and stores merchandise in designated areas using a forklift, Order Picker, push-pull equipment.Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to storage locationsPulls and prepares products for shipmentEnsures that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shippedPerforms picking duties in an efficient manner meeting customer service standardsMoves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailersOperates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methodsMaintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and securityAssists in physical inventoriesEnsures proper stock rotationConducts cycle counts as requestedMust have Excel knowledge plus general computer knowledge.Basic safety understanding in operating equipmentResponsible for reporting safety concerns to management in a timely mannerReport inventory discrepancies to inventory control team and assists in resolutionMust be able to complete inspection form prior operating equipmentMust be able to use RF scanning equipment to ensure accuracy of inventorySkill/Experience/Education
Mandatory SkillsHigh School Diploma/GED preferred.At least 3 months forklift experience ORDER PICKER & FALL ARREST and/or using warehouse distribution equipmentMust be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.Must be able to lift and/or pull 50 lbs without restriction.Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.Walking in the DC and around area with great frequency, facilities are over a quarter mile in length.Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation and able to access all areas of building without limitations.Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as neededMust have attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and basic math skillsWe are looking forward to hearing from you
