Accounting Technician MB

MNP is looking for an Accounting Technician to enhance our Assurance & Accounting team in Brandon, Manitoba. Leverage your financial expertise to provide tailored insights and support client decisions.

As an Accounting Technician at MNP, you will aid in various accounting engagements, focusing on bookkeeping, audit preparation, and tax compliance. You'll be part of a dynamic team, delivering customized financial solutions designed to meet diverse client needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in bookkeeping, audit, and tax engagements

• Prepare government remittances and manage transactions

• Set up client files and assist with budgets

• Conduct month-end and quarter-end closures

• Reconcile GL accounts and investigate discrepancies

Requirements:

• Accounting certificate or bachelor’s degree preferred

• 0-2 years of relevant accounting experience

• Familiar with T4s and T5s preparation

• Basic accounting knowledge is a plus

• Proficient with accounting and tax software
