Location: Brandon, MB Schedule: Monday?

Friday (35-40 hours per week)

Compensation: $23 - $33 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are a well-established construction company with approximately 50 employees seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll and HR administrator. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in supporting payroll functions and daily office operations in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and experienced with payroll and administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 50 employees
  • Track and verify employee timecards, job costing hours, and overtime
  • Maintain accurate payroll records, employee files, and documentation
  • Handle payroll deductions, benefits, and garnishments as required
  • Coordinate new hire onboarding paperwork and employee records
  • Answer phones, emails, and manage general office correspondence
  • Perform data entry, filing, and document management
  • Support management with administrative tasks, and other office duties as needed
Qualifications
  • Previous payroll and office administration experience (construction industry preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience with payroll systems (Quick Books) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
  • Professional communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma required, payroll or accounting experience is an asset
