Friday (35-40 hours per week)
Compensation: $23 - $33 per hour, based on experience
Position OverviewWe are a well-established construction company with approximately 50 employees seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Payroll and HR administrator. This permanent, full-time position plays a key role in supporting payroll functions and daily office operations in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and experienced with payroll and administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities- Process bi-weekly payroll for approximately 50 employees
- Track and verify employee timecards, job costing hours, and overtime
- Maintain accurate payroll records, employee files, and documentation
- Handle payroll deductions, benefits, and garnishments as required
- Coordinate new hire onboarding paperwork and employee records
- Answer phones, emails, and manage general office correspondence
- Perform data entry, filing, and document management
- Support management with administrative tasks, and other office duties as needed
- Previous payroll and office administration experience (construction industry preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with payroll systems (Quick Books) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
- Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma required, payroll or accounting experience is an asset
