Skills Needed: Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree is preferred (especially if in theology, religious Studies, or education).
  • Must be a practicing Roman Catholic, received the Sacrament of Confirmation, and is in good standing with the Church.
  • Must be an Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) certified catechist.
  • Currently hold, or be able to obtain within one-year of start date, the AMS advance catechist certificate.
  • Must have at least one-year experience coordinating religious education.
  • Understand and abide by the requirements and basic expectations of the AMS.
  • Must have experience with Catholic RE and the whole spectrum of Catholic Liturgical practices since the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council.
  • Conversational English required (ability to also speak Spanish preferred).
  • Basic computer proficiency required, including software familiarity with at least: Microsoft (MS) Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.
