Trackman/Woman - Northrok Construction Ltd.
Company: Northrok Construction Ltd. (based in Virden, Manitoba)
Position: Trackman/woman / Trackman-Labourer
Work Location: Various sites throughout Western Canada, with travel required and accommodations provided.
Key Duties included:
- Carrying and placing track materials.
- Installing and removing railroad ties and rails.
- Using hand tools such as spike mauls, lining bars, shovels, jacks, and rail tongs.
- Working with ballast and track maintenance.
- Assisting around heavy equipment operations.
- Participating in safety meetings and following PPE requirements.
Requirements included:
- Minimum age of 18.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs.
- Ability to travel and stay overnight at remote job sites.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Driver's licence preferred.
- Previous railroad or heavy construction experience preferred.
