Volunteer Opportunity:
Emergency Social Services Reception Centre
Support the City of Brandon during emergency situations by volunteering at the Emergency Social Services Reception Centre. This is an as‑needed opportunity that activates when emergencies happen, so specific dates and times are not known in advance.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and support people who are distressed or evacuated
- Share information about local services
- Assist with basic documentation and reporting
- Coordinate transportation needs and distribute supplies as required
Requirements:
- Commit at least three hours at a time
- Comfortable supporting people in sensitive situations
