As part of Canada Post, the Post Office Assistant will engage directly with customers, provide necessary forms, and assist in sorting and processing mail. Ideal candidates should preferably reside within the community and have a background in business administration or retail. This role emphasizes quick resolution of service issues and selling postal products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Market postal services to local businesses and residents
• Sort and distribute mail by classification
• Provide information and assist customers at the counter
• Resolve delivery and service issues promptly
Requirements:
• High school or equivalent experience preferred
• Background in customer service and sales
• Familiarity with post office accounting systems
• Capability to lift up to 50 lb of mail
• Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
