Dental Receptionist & Assistant

Job type: One-year term position with potential for extension)

• Greet and check in patients in a warm and professional manner
• Manage phone calls, emails, and appointment scheduling
• Coordinate treatment schedules, including surgical appointments
• Process insurance claims, pre-authorizations, and billing
• Handle patient records and maintain confidentiality
• Manage recalls and follow-up communications
• Support the clinical team with administrative coordination
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
• Prepare treatment rooms and surgical setups for periodontal and implant procedures
• Assist chairside during surgeries (e.g., scaling and root planing, extractions, implants, grafting)
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control (IPAC) protocols
• Sterilize instruments and manage surgical workflow efficiently
• Ensure patient comfort and provide reassurance before, during, and after procedures
• Deliver clear post-operative instructions to patients
• Maintain accurate records and support overall clinic operations

• Previous experience in a dental or medical office (preferred)
• Strong knowledge of dental insurance and billing procedures
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
