The Brandon School District is a mid‑size school district nestled in Northwest Oakland County. The district has approximately 1,000 students in junior kindergarten‑5th grade between the two elementary schools, approximately 600 at the middle school level and approximately 850 at the high school. This small, tight knit community has a strong connection to its schools and is passionate about the education of its youth.

Brandon High School sends 85‑90% of its graduates to college each year, was ranked in the 82nd percentile of all schools in the State on the top‑to‑bottom rankings, and was awarded a Silver Medal Winner by the US News. Harvey‑Swanson elementary school is a one‑to‑one technology school that is ranked in the 83rd percentile in the State.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
:

• Valid Elementary Michigan Teaching Certificate with a ZA or ZS endorsement.
• Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with students and parents.
• Experience using computers and educational technology.
• Knowledge of High Scope Curriculum Conflict Resolution, and COR assessment preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
:

• Plan, prepare, and implement the GSRP preschool program activities.
• Provide instructional support to students in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork and reports associated with GSRP requirements.
• Maintain children and staff files as required.
• Conduct required home visits, conferences, and parent meeting.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervising teacher and/or director.
