ABOUT THE POSITION

As a member of the Division's Fiddling Program this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to expand an established and thriving Division program, which currently operates in 31 schools with an eleven-person instructional team. This role supports Area 2 schools in the communities of Grand Rapids, Gypsumville, Dauphin River, Skownan and Waterhen.

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor of Education Degree and valid Manitoba Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for)
  • Valid Manitoba driver's license and ability to travel and work flexible hours as necessary
  • Previous fiddling instruction experience
  • Ability to play guitar would be an asset
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of Indigenous Way of Life (considered an asset)
  • Experience working in a northern community (considered an asset)
