- A Manitoba Teacher's Certificate, or eligibility for teacher certification in the Province of Manitoba.
- A strong academic background and previous successful early years teaching experience.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and differentiate instruction in the Grade 3-4 classroom.
- Demonstrated ability/experience in the teaching of reading in early years.
- Knowledge and understanding of teaching literacy through the curriculum, and a strong background in language development.
- Knowledge and understanding of inclusion of technology in learning processes.
- Robust interpersonal skills and the ability to work as an effective member of a team in delivering a quality program.
- Experience in the philosophy of a multi-age classroom as it relates to curriculum planning and implementation, instructional diversity, and classroom learning environment.
