Shape student learning at JKCS as a full-time Secondary Teacher-Librarian, where you'll lead literacy initiatives and manage educational resources. This role focuses on collaboration and resource optimization to enhance student engagement.
In this dynamic position, you will leverage your teacher certification to work alongside educators to develop inquiry-based learning experiences.
Your role includes overseeing the Library Learning Commons, teaching students information literacy, and promoting effective resource use across the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
• Partner with teachers to create engaging, inquiry-based lessons
• Teach information literacy across different subjects
• Manage library collections and makerspace resources
• Advocate for reading and research as lifelong pursuits
• Lead initiatives in educational technologies and digital resources
Requirements:
• Valid teaching certification required
• Coursework toward or completion of Teacher-Librarian diploma
• Education in teacher-librarianship or information studies
• Willing to train on library's automation system
