This key position reports to the Director of the Indigenous Peoples’ Centre and focuses on enhancing access and success for Indigenous learners. You will work closely with Knowledge Keepers, Education Counsellors, and Student Services, ensuring that the Ishokode Saakaykateh program aligns with strategic goals. Your extensive experience and understanding of Manitoba Indigenous cultures will be instrumental in guiding program development and assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the Director and Knowledge Keepers on program strategy
• Design, deliver, and evaluate student transition initiatives
• Facilitate admissions and registration processes
• Monitor student progress and provide guidance
• Recruit students through presentations and events
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• At least 2 years working with Indigenous learners
• Familiarity with Indigenous histories and traditions
• Ability to engage authentically with communities
• Commitment to equity and diversity in education
Lead impactful initiatives supporting Indigenous students' success at Brandon University.
