Become a Physics Lab Instructor at Brandon University and engage students in learning about classical mechanics, thermodynamics, and wave physics. Teach hands-on lab classes in the Fall and Winter terms.
Brandon University's Department of Physics & Astronomy is looking for instructors to deliver effective lab sections.
Your role will focus on key physics principles and involve engaging students through interactive laboratory experiences. Applicants are encouraged to hold a Master’s in Physics, although a Bachelor’s with sufficient teaching experience will also be accepted.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct engaging lectures and lab practicals
• Cover thermodynamics, waves, and optics topics
• Assess and give feedback on student learning
• Enhance educational experiences through hands-on applications
• Maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
• M.Sc. in Physics preferred or
B.Sc. with teaching experience
• Strong classroom management abilities
• Commitment to student engagement and equity
• Capacity to accommodate diverse student needs
• Proof of citizenship required upon hiring
