Position: Course Instructor for Band/Jazz Methods
Brandon University invites applications for a contract academic instructor position for Band/Jazz Methods during the Winter 2026/2027 term. Classes will run from January 5 to March 4, 2027.

This role entails teaching a 1.5 credit hour course, requiring a Master’s degree in music education and relevant experience. The course consists of 18 contact hours per term, scheduled Monday through Thursday, fostering a creative music learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Band/Jazz Methods (Course #: 66:469)

• Provide 18 hours of direct instruction to students

• Facilitate engaging music lessons and activities

• Offer constructive feedback to students

• Prepare educational materials requisite for the course

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in music education necessary

• Relevant teaching experience preferred

• Willing to consider experiential backgrounds

Effective communication skills essential
