Job Description

WSP’s RPM team is one of the most established and exciting teams in Canada. The team consists of environmental technicians, project coordinators, project managers, technical experts, and qualified professionals. We provide contaminated site program management services to the world’s most technically focused companies for over 15 years, consistently maintaining a backlog of 9 to 12 months and offering growth opportunities for high‑performing team members.

Our focus is on health and safety, Phase I/II ESAs, risk assessment, and remediation, handling projects from coast to coast and across diverse environmental conditions.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan new projects from problem definition to investigation plans.
  • Prepare specific work instructions, health and safety plans, and liaise with subcontractors.
  • Work with the project manager and technical experts to convey project objectives and provide solutions.
  • Develop your career by planning with multiple mentors and becoming a mentor to others.
  • Review and enhance project health and safety plans guided by our Zero Harm policy.
  • Participate in a client‑specific delivery team while leveraging the RPM group expertise.
  • Engage with Practice Area Network (PAN) for complex technical issues.
  • Complete fieldwork assignments in Alberta foothills, Northeast BC, and Western/Northern Canada (up to 30%).
  • Lead and work on technically challenging environmental projects in Western and Northern Canada.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences.
  • Professional engineering or professional science designation, or ability to obtain one.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in the environmental industry.
  • Relevant health and safety training related to the oil and gas industry.
  • Excellent communication and report‑writing skills.
  • Strong teamwork and mentorship abilities.
  • Passion for helping field staff solve problems and empowering decision‑making.
Compensation
  • AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $69,700 – $92,300
  • MB & ON: $63,600 – $87,500
  • NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $62,900 – $83,600
