Position: New Brunswick Land Surveyor

We are currently seeking a skilled New Brunswick Land Surveyor to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview

The NBLS will play a key role in overseeing legal survey work, signing and sealing survey documents, managing field and office staff, and ensuring all deliverables meet provincial standards and regulatory requirements. This role is ideal for a surveyor who values accuracy, leadership, and the opportunity to shape the future of DMSE’s Legal Survey division.

Key Responsibilities

Sign and seal survey plans, SRPRs, subdivision plans, easements, and related legal documents.

Conduct boundary retracement, land title research, and analysis of historical survey records.

Provide supervision, mentorship, and technical direction to SIT’s, field crews and drafting staff.

Review and approve final survey deliverables to ensure compliance with NB regulations and industry standards.

Qualifications

Licensed New Brunswick Land Surveyor (NBLS) in good standing (required).

Strong understanding of the Land Titles Act, Surveys Act, municipal bylaws, and NB land development processes.

Proficiency with survey equipment and software, including GNSS, total stations, data collectors, Carlson (CAD Software), and survey processing tools.

Excellent problem solving, boundary analysis, and technical writing skills.

Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the province.
