Alamos Gold Inc. is looking for a skilled Underground Surveyor to join the Young-Davidson team in Ontario. Focus on both underground and surface surveying to support mining operations.
This Underground Surveyor role reports directly to the Senior Engineer and involves crucial surveying tasks that affect both development and production at the Young-Davidson mine. This position is suited for an individual with strong analytical skills and a passion for mining. You'll be an integral part of the mining process, ensuring precision and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct surveys to ensure operational excellence
• Provide line and grade information for mining workplaces
• Install vital control points for operations
• Mark up drill lines accurately as per project needs
• Use drones for scanning and data collection
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education in mining or surveying
• Background in underground surveying preferred
• Familiarity with mine planning software like Deswik
• Strong organizational skills and a safety-first mindset
• Ability to work autonomously when necessary
