We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Radiation Protection Technician to support our Environmental Remediation team. This posting is intended to identify qualified candidates for potential current or future opportunities as project needs evolve.
This role is essential to ensuring compliance with radiation protection standards. Responsibilities include conducting radiation surveys, monitoring work environments, supporting safety protocols, and assisting with data analysis and reporting. You will work closely with multiple teams to help assess and manage radiation exposure risks.

This role is based in multiple locations across Canada.#
** What you will be doing
*** Conduct regular radiation surveys and monitoring of work environments to ensure compliance with safety standards.
* Maintain and calibrate radiation detection equipment to ensure accuracy in measurements.
* Prepare detailed reports on radiation levels and safety compliance assessments.
* Assist in the development and implementation of radiation safety training programs for staff.
* Provide support in risk assessments related to radiation exposure and emergency response planning.
* Respond to and investigate any incidents involving radiation exposure, providing recommendations for corrective actions.#
** What we are looking for
*** Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, or related field preferred. College Diploma in Radiation Safety Program will be considered.
* Certification as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) or similar certification is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of radiation safety regulations, protocols, and standards.
* Proficiency in operating and maintaining radiation detection and monitoring equipment.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail for data analysis and reporting.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey safety information effectively.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment#
