We are currently seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Linear Municipal Infrastructure team. Our team specializes in water mains, sanitary sewers, stormwater systems, and roadways, but may also provide expertise to support broader water, wastewater, and transportation projects.
This is an existing position and is based at our Winnipeg or Brandon office. We offer flexible work hours and hybrid work arrangement options to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.

Responsibilities About the Position Project Management and Design- Deliver functional and detailed civil design for projects across Manitoba for local municipalities and First Nations communities.
- Lead and manage end-to-end civil infrastructure projects, overseeing project scope, schedules, deliverables, and technical execution from concept through completion.
- Lead design team activities, providing technical direction to project team members including junior staff, sub-consultants and subcontractors.
- Liaise and develop strong relationships with private and public sector clients, including various City of Winnipeg departments, utility providers, and government review/approval agencies.
- We empower our teams to automate the routine so they can focus on high-value, creative problem-solving. You will be encouraged to experiment with AI-enabled tools to push the boundaries of traditional design.
- Proactively seek and cultivate new, long-term business opportunities that align with our sustainability goals and drive responsible growth, including submissions responding to requests for proposals, preparation of proposals and statements of qualification.
- Occasional short-term regional travel across Manitoba or to other Dillon offices as needed to support collaboration, share knowledge, and drive growth across the firm.
- Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development.
- Input to the career development of junior staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoring.
- Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
- A degree in civil engineering.
- Licensed to practice as a professional engineer in Manitoba, or eligible to be licensed within six months.
- Proven expertise in municipal infrastructure, developed through 8+ years of experience in consulting or related fields, with a track record of technical leadership.
- Proven project management and business development capabilities.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset.
- Demonstrated success in the leadership of multidisciplinary project teams and liaising with various governing bodies, utility providers, and clients.
- Experience in contributing to proposals/statements of qualification and supporting business development efforts.
