Junior Municipal Engineer

We are looking to enhance and develop our Civil team with a driven, enthusiastic individual keen to grow roots in our expanding business. As a contributing member of our Civil Engineering team, you will enjoy a fast-paced, friendly environment that is collaborative and energized to deliver design solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner. Self motivation, teamwork, and the ability to work within time constraints are essential to this role.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid Class 5 license

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited Canadian university

• Registered or eligible for registration with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM)

DESIRED SKILLS

• 0–3 years of experience in Municipal/Civil Engineering

• Strong teamwork skills as well as the ability to work alone

• Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills

• Beneficial experience includes proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite

• Understanding of municipal approvals and regulations

• Practice comprehending information from engineering drawings

PROJECT EXPOSURE

• Stormwater and wastewater management
• Domestic lagoons
• Drainage and grading planning (calculation and design)
• Sewer and water servicing design and replacement
• Land development

FIELD & CONSTRUCTION

• On-site construction administration, inspections, and quality assurance
• Site inspection with Lidar drones
• Coordinating external services with sub-contractors

CLIENT & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

• Establish and maintain long‑term personal relationships with contractors, developers, municipal and provincial agencies
• Build knowledge across a multidisciplinary range of project types.
• Develop the practical and professional skills needed to grow within the team
