Intermediate​/Senior Municipal Engineer

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• 8+ years of experience in Municipal/Civil Engineering.
• Valid Class 5 license.
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited Canadian university.
• Registered as a P.Eng. with a Canadian licensing organization, with the ability to receive EGM registration.
• Excellent technical writing, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Understanding of municipal approvals and regulations.

PROJECT & TEAM LEADER SHIP

• Work closely and collaboratively with your Department Head to obtain and kickstart new projects.
• Take a supervisory role with technical and support staff as well as providing guidance for Junior Engineers.
• Serve as senior project manager and clients designated contact.
  
  Coordinate external services with sub-contractors.

PROJECT DELIVERY

• Take an active role in engineering design.
• Prepare tender documents and supervise the awarded projects from construction phase to final certification.
• Produce project schedules and budgets, then oversee their compliance.
• Liaise and develop design work with stakeholders.
• Review and monitor progress on construction sites.
• Prepare and review technical reports.

PROFESSIONAL & CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY

• Personally take professional responsibility by applying professional seal to construction documents, and engineering reports.
• Be a part of marketing and asset management as needed.
• Prepare documentation and partner with clients to gain approvals such as an Environmental Act License, Drainage and Water Control Works License, and Livestock Conditional Use and Technical Review Committee approvals.
