RFNOW is looking for a motivated and forward‑thinking Assistant Controller to join our team and play a key role in the ongoing success of our growing organization.

This position is a hybrid position, and the successful candidate should be located within 3 hours of our head office (Virden, Manitoba) or plan to relocate as necessary. The role requires multiple in‑office visits.

• Lead projects to automate accounts payable, financial reporting, and cash flow forecasting
• Review daily accounting including journal entries, banking, and accruals
• Assist with review of monthly, quarterly, and year‑end reporting across multiple entities
• Oversee auditors during year‑end and liaise to assist with solving complex accounting issues
• Prepare 13‑week cash flow forecasts
• Assist in managing tax and compliance with all applicable tax regulations, including GST and PST in Manitoba and Saskatchewan
• Maintain internal controls and safeguard company assets
• Maintain and improve processes in the companys accounting systems and financial policies
• Assist the preparation of all Covenant reporting to the companys banking partners
• Support the Director of FP&A in the annual budget process and quarterly reforecasts
• Support project costing, capital expenditure planning, and grant funding compliance for infrastructure development.
• Mentor accountants and support an environment of continuous learning and development

• CPA designation with 3-5 years of post‑designation experience in industry
• Knowledge of ASPE
• High level of proficiency with Excel and accounting / financial reporting systems including Net Suite and Vena
