As a Direct Support Specialist, you will work with adult clients with intellectual and mental disabilities, helping them engage with their communities. Under the Operations Manager's leadership, you will assist with personal care, record-keeping, and daily activities, ensuring clients' comfort and empowerment through skill development. Your teamwork and communication skills will play an essential role in our supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist clients with personal care and medication tasks
• Plan menus and manage daily living activities
• Support client interactions with family and community
• Keep accurate records for client progress
• Encourage independence and skill growth in individuals
Requirements:
• Background in working with adult clients with disabilities
• First Aid and CPR Level C certifications needed
• Must have a clear Criminal Record Check
• Minimum Grade Twelve education required; certifications beneficial
• Flexible availability for shifts, including weekends
