Network Administrator Student

Position: City Network Administrator Student Role
Join the City of Brandon as a Network Administrator Summer Student and gain valuable exposure to networking technologies. This role is ideal for students looking to deepen their technical skills throughout the summer.

This temporary position offers an opportunity for students enrolled in a related post-secondary program to assist with various IT tasks. Working under the Manager of Application Support & Project Management, you will learn about network design while supporting city operations. Responsibilities include deploying devices and troubleshooting service requests, enabling you to learn in a practical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain city networking devices

• Deploy printers and endpoints across the organization

• Troubleshoot and resolve service requests

• Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Enrolled in a relevant technical training program

• Ability to work within a team setting

• Fundamental computer networking knowledge

• Basic endpoint management skills
