Dean Cooley GM is a Chevrolet, Buick and GMC dealer that operates in Dauphin, MB but serves the Parkland area. Our dealership also has a full after sales suite that includes service, parts, accessories and collision centre. We are currently looking for a dedicated and organized individual to join our Parts Department as a Full Time Shipping & Receiving Clerk. This role focuses on handling the incoming and outgoing automotive parts efficiently to support our busy service and parts departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments of automotive parts for accuracy and condition.
- Unpack, verify, and record incoming parts and stock them in designated locations in the parts warehouse.
- Prepare, package, and ship parts orders for retail and wholesale customers.
- Ensure timely delivery of parts to service technicians for scheduled repairs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct periodic inventory counts.
- Organize and maintain the shipping and receiving area, ensuring a clean and orderly workspace.
- Assist in the coordination of returns, warranties, and core parts processing.
- Collaborate with parts and service teams to ensure parts availability and resolve any discrepancies.
- Communicate with suppliers, couriers, and customers regarding shipment status and tracking.
- Utilize inventory management systems to input data, track shipments, and generate reports.
- Follow dealership policies and safety protocols while handling parts and shipments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehousing is an asset, especially within an automotive environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy parts (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management software.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Availability to work flexible hours.
