Resident Managers; Onsite

Overview

Sussex Realty Ltd. is a well-established property management company dedicated to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and tenant satisfaction. We are seeking a professional, reliable, and motivated Resident Manager (or Resident Manager Team) to oversee our 51-unit residential property located at 8/10 Willowdale Crescent in Brandon.

The Resident Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the building, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment for all residents. This role requires a blend of hands-on building and grounds maintenance, minor repairs, cleaning, and administrative tenant relations. This is a live on-site position. Criminal record and credit check required.

• Maintenance & Repairs
  • Perform routine, minor maintenance in suites and common areas: painting, fixture replacements
  • Handle basic plumbing tasks (e.g. unclog drains, basic toilet repairs)
  • Very light electrical work (changing bulbs) and basic knowledge of breakers
  • Basic carpentry tasks (e.g. basic cabinet repairs, door repair)
  • Coordinate with tradespeople for major/skilled trades repairs
• Building & Grounds Upkeep
  • Keep common areas, hallways, grounds, and exteriors clean and presentable
  • Snow removal, groundskeeping, garbage/recycling oversight
  • Monitor building systems (heating, fire systems, etc.) and report issues to Maintenance
  • Conduct periodic inspections and preventative maintenance checks
• Tenant Relations & Leasing Support
  • Act as primary liaison for tenant inquiries and service requests
  • Conduct move-in / move-out inspections, suite showings and leasing support
  • Serve paperwork to tenants, incl. notices or legal documents
  • Build positive relationships with tenants and foster a sense of community

• Basic skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, maintenance an asset
• Property management experience preferred
• Knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act an asset
• Explicit criminal record check required
• Must be legally able to work in Canada

• Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
• Pay: $20,000.00-$33,000.00 per year
