Part-Time Maintenance Aide

Enhance resident care as a Part-Time Maintenance Aide at Extendicare Hillcrest Place in Brandon, Manitoba. This hands-on role focuses on routine repairs, minor maintenance, and exceptional customer service.

The Maintenance Aide reports to the Environmental Services Manager and performs routine repairs while ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for residents. Key tasks include electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, alongside maintaining grounds and adhering to safety protocols. This role requires independent work and interaction with vulnerable adults, promoting Extendicare’s values at every turn.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute routine electrical and plumbing repairs

• Perform painting and minor carpentry tasks

• Inspect premises for maintenance and safety issues

• Adhere to facility policies and safety procedures

• Support housekeeping tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions in English

• Capability to perform physical duties, including moving heavy objects

• Familiarity with minor repairs and maintenance tasks

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

• Must provide or obtain Vulnerable Sector Check
