Enhance public transit services in Brandon as a Transit Utility Worker, focusing on shelter maintenance and operational support. This full-time role includes various outdoor tasks and teamwork.
The role requires you to maintain cleanliness at all transit shelters and bus stops, demanding a valid Class 5 Manitoba Driver’s license. Key activities include cleaning, snow removal, and general maintenance of tools and facilities. Candidates must be self-motivated and flexible with shift availability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform general upkeep of transit facilities and equipment
• Clean and wash shelter interiors and exteriors
• Manage snow clearing and grass maintenance at stops
• Report repair needs to the supervisor
• Maintain and fuel necessary cleaning equipment
Requirements:
• Class 5 Province of Manitoba Driver’s licence is mandatory
• Relevant experience in maintenance work preferred
• Capability to work independently and collaborate with others
• Commitment to working in various weather
• Availability for day, evening, and weekend shifts
